Research indicates that this might be enhancing among adults with sedentary occupations but not physically active such as cleaners. This may explained by the considerable differences in 24-h physical behaviors between and occupations. To provide scientific approach encourage research on for those occupations, we recently proposed ‘Sweet-Spot Hypothesis'. The hypothesis postulated ‘Sweet-Spot' better differs adults, depending their occupation. Methods exemplify hypothesis, tested cross-sectional association 24-hour time composition measured using thigh-based accelerometry self-rated engaged white-collar (n = 136), manufacturing 481) cleaning 130) Results We found sweet spot was far from ‘sit zone Specifically, workers, behavior distribution associated best 5% comprised about 30% day spent behavior, 45% actively, 25% sleep. However, cleaners, 50% sedentary, 15% 35% sleep sector, Conclusion bring toward health. promote all reduce social gradient, see great need empirically testing Hypothesis' high-quality data strong study design. hope proposal will discussion, debates, empirical expand our collective knowledge healthy ‘24-h balance' all.
